Family Experiance

What is the Rabourn family experience?  Tonight three Aquinas College students decided to bravely join the Rabourns for dinner.  Rian has listened to the many stories that Brian and I talk about living in Europe and teaching English.  Sarah spends countless hours hanging out with me at school.  It seems like no topic is taboo, so lunches are filled with discussions about guys, marriage, parents, hopes and dreams.  I just love eating lunch with her each week.  The third guest was our surprise guest, Jared; Rian needed a ride to our home and Jared played taxi cab driver for the night.  I am sure that he had a much liver dinner than he expected.  Brian and I opened the table as large as it could go to accommodate our family, Rita plus three.  Food was served and the conversation began.  Belly laughs, snorts and tea shooting out of noses sprinkled the evening.  Brian pulled out the craziest stories in stock and entertained our new house guests.  His stories are somewhat of inanition to whomever dares to join us for the first time.  I remember when we first met Michael, Amanda’s husband.  It was 3:30 in the morning when they finally made it home taking fifteen hours instead of the normal eight because of a huge snow storm.  Michael maybe was in our home for twenty minutes when Brian started telling his stories.  Each one of our friends hopefully left with a peace of our life.  Even if it were only three hours, I hope it was worth it for each of them.  The smiles on their faces as they left declared loudly that they did.
