TGIF !
Today my oldest daughter Amanda and
our son-in-law, Michael drove up from South Carolina for a visit. Sitting around my kitchen table with all of
my kids, including Rita, (Ted’s girlfriend), made the planets line up, the lion
lay down with the lamb and peace in all the earth as far as I’m concerned, even
if only for a moment. I love my kids and
sitting around laughing, interrupting, joking, teasing, and chatting. I’ll be disappointed if the night ends
early. These “whole family visits” do
not happen as often as I would like, but when they do, it leaves a big smile on
my face for months to come.
Super Tender Pot Roast
My husband Brian insisted that I
call this “I can’t believe a good recipe is so short Pot Roast,” but it’s no great
secret that a lot of great tasting food takes very little to produce. “It’s not the size of the recipe that counts,
it’s the way you stir the pot”. (Brian
had a reply to this, but that’s another story).
