Look Don't Touch
Today is one of those blah days, where I don’t feel so great, but I’m not sick. Since breakfast I’ve had problems with food, mostly with texture. In the morning I like to eat oatmeal with coconut oil and some fruit. Today I was in a hurry and omitted the fruit. It sat too long and it wound up with a sticky texture (yuck) that can make you re-evaluate you hunger needs. While eating my bowl of slop, my husband calls it prison food, I quickly made two ham and cheese sandwiches with German mustard, usually one of my favorites. At lunch, however, already hungry I realized that the ham had the wrong texture: hard and chewy. We got home after six in the evening, and as our dogs were in serious need of a walk, I quickly threw a brat from the other day in a bun and gobbled it up. As much as I love brats, my stomach has not been happy since eating “dinner”. I would love to talk about the wonderful Wiener schnitzel, German potato salad, home-made bread and green salad that I fixed for dinner, but that meal must have been eaten in another dimension.
